Titaniumblock surface hardness testing report
1.Specimen:
Customer’s specimen, as shown below marked sample A; Cross-sectionalarea is the testing place, sample thickness: 21.26mm, diameter: 60.4mm. 

2.Hardness tester:
We test with HV-10AC,SHB-3000D,SU-300.
When using the SHB-3000, we choose the scale HBW, 15s dwell time, 3000kgf test force. Before testing the sample, we get the average 244HBW3000/10 with the standard block 242HBW3000/10 after five times testing;
When using the HV-10AC, we choose the scale HV, 5s dwell time and 1kgf test force. And get the average 742HV1 with the standard block736HV1 after five times testing before testing the sample.
It indicated that the accuracy of SHB-3000D and HV-10AC are totally access to the National Standard. Next, we would test the sample with ultrasonic hardness tester SU-300 and using 1kgf electronic probe. As shown below:

3.Testing Data:
1) Using SHB-3000D, HV-10AC, SU-300 to test the Cross-sectional area of the A sample.The result is as following:

4.Data Analysis:
1) The average and the max deviation of the sample A with SHB-3000D are: 297 HBW,5HBW;

The average and the max deviation of the sample A with SHB-3000D are: 315HBW,8HBW (conversion the maximum and minimum and then subtract).

The average and the max deviation of the sample A with SHB-3000D are: 294HBW,10HBW.

5.Conclusion:
1Data contrast:
According to the above data, the testing average of hardness tester SHB-3000D,HV-10AC,SU-300 to test the A sample section are very close. And the maximum deviation of these machinesis within 11HBW. It indicated that they can keep the stable accuracy for testing the A sample. But the benchtop hardness tester(SHB-3000D,HV-10AC) is too heavy to carry out. And you must keep balance of the sample and the bottom; it is not suitable forall seizedorbulksampling because the testing speed is more than 30s/times. However, the ultrasonic hardness tester SU-300 is a good choice. It is portable and has no requirement about the sample surfaces, and the testing speed can reach to 3s/times. In addition, it can use forfull inspection, large or shapedproductshardness testing. You could choose the most appropriate hardness tester to test the hardness.
2)Suggestion:
We suggest you to buy the ultrasonic hardness tester with 1kgf electronic probe for testing the sample.
