1、What is the Rockwell hardness tester

The Rockwell hardness tester is the first one in the world designed according to the principle of the Rockwell hardness test. It only requires a single lateral hardness tester for metal hardness. It absorbs the steel surface and does not need to support the sample, and is not lower than the desktop Rockwell hardness tester.

The Rockwell hardness test was originally proposed by the American Rockwell (S.P.RocKwell and H.M.RocKwell) in 1914. Later, in 1919 and 1921, they improved the design of the hardness tester twice, and established the prototype of the modern Rockwell hardness tester.By 1930, Wilson (C.H Wilson) had updated the design to improve the Roche hardness detection methods and equipment.

The Rockwell hardness tester with touch screen control, numerical display, curve display and automatic printing of test data has been produced in China. The Rockwell hardness detection method is simple operation, rapid measurement, and direct reading from a percent table or optical projection screen or display. Like Brinell and Vickers hardness detection methods, it is one of the three most commonly used hardness detection methods.

Advantages：

3. Rapid operation, immediate data, high production efficiency, suitable for the inspection of finished products in mass production

Disadvantages: 

1. The Rockwell hardness test makes the surface indentation of the material large, so it is not suitable to test the metal hardness of finished products or thin sheets.

2. The measured hardness value is poor, which should be measured in different parts several times in different parts, and the average value is taken as the hardness value of the material.
