The lighting method of the image measuring instrument about the 2.5-dimensional measuring instrument:
Diffuse lighting: continuous diffuse lighting applied to the surface of the object, used for reflection or complex surfaces with complex angles. Continuous diffuse lighting uses hemispherical uniform lighting to reduce shadows and specular reflections. This type of lighting is very useful for fully assembled panel lights. This light source can achieve uniform illumination within 170 solid angles. Direct lighting: aim the light at the object to obtain a clear image. This type of light is very effective when we need to obtain images of high-contrast objects. However, when we use it to shine on shiny or reflective materials, it will cause specular reflections. Conventional lighting usually uses ring or point light sources. Ring light is a common conventional lighting method that can be easily installed on the lens to provide sufficient illumination for diffuse reflective surfaces. Backlighting: The incident uniform field of view light comes from the back of the object. The side profile of the surface of the object can be seen through the camera. The backlight is usually used to measure the size and orientation of an object. The backlight creates a strong contrast. When the backlight is applied, the surface function may be lost. For example, backlight technology can be used to measure the diameter of a coin, but the front and back of the coin cannot be determined. Coaxial illumination: forming coaxial light-divergent light is emitted from the vertical wall, hits the beam splitter that makes the beam downward, and then the camera looks at the object from the beam splitter from above. This kind of light source is particularly useful for detecting objects with high reflectivity, and it is also suitable for objects that cannot be clearly seen due to shadows in the surrounding environment. Dark field lighting: Dark field lighting provides low-angle lighting relative to the surface of the object. Use the camera to shoot the mirror so that it is within its field of view. If the light source is visible in the field of view, it is considered to illuminate the bright field. In contrast, the light source is not visible in the field of view. Therefore, whether the light source is bright-field illumination or dark-field illumination is related to the position of the light source. Generally, dark field illumination is applied to the illumination or surface texture of the convex part of the image measuring instrument.
