JL series drop weight tear test machine is mainly used to determine the non-plastic transformation temperature of ferritic steel (including plates, profiles, cast steel and forged steel). The non-plastic transition temperature (NDT) refers to the highest temperature at which a standard sample will break when tested according to relevant standards. It characterizes the highest temperature of brittle fracture of steel with small cracks under dynamic loading yield stress. The test method is to lift a hammer of a certain mass to a certain height, and then release it from a static state. The hammer freely falls and impacts the surface of the sample, thereby dynamically loading the sample.

The main frame of the JL series drop hammer impact testing machine is composed of a frame, a guide rail, and a fixed crossbeam. It has a highly rigid portal frame structure. The movable beam and the hammer head can slide up and down along the guide rails on the two uprights under the traction of the lifting mechanism. Ensure that the hammer head can fall freely along a straight line after being released. The lifting mechanism adopts an ultra-low-speed brake motor, and the moving beam can be positioned at any position by controlling the motor through a frequency converter. The moving beam contains an electromagnet. When the moving beam falls close to the hook of the hammer head, the hook is hooked by the gravity of the moving beam, and the pin connected with the electromagnet is dropped to make the hook self-lock. Only when the electromagnet is energized and the pin is energized, the hook can be opened under the action of the spring, and the hammer head falls, which has a high safety performance. The operator does not need to worry about the sudden power failure of the equipment and affect the safety. The wires of the electromagnet in the moving beam are energized through the sliding groove, which avoids the situation that the open wire is dragged during the rapid fall of the hammer head, and ensures the safety of the test equipment and the test personnel.

The equipment is equipped with a sample centering function. The centering method is end-to-center, with a centering deviation of ±1mm.
