But is this really the case? Are these audio-visual devices able to keep your audience engaged in listening to whatever you are saying? May be, may be not! When compared to traditional Flip Charts, they might facilitate you to make your presentation the more attractive by adding sound effects, striking pictures or even videos. But, on the other hand, they may also tend to distract audience from the actual message been spread. It, in fact, has been proved that people remember whatever they pay attention to. If you get to use a lot of pictures, audios or videos in your presentation people start to fancy them and pay less attention to the 'topic of discussion'.

Since they are lightweight; do not engage cable wires (easels do not require power supply to be run) and can be folded flat in no time the flipcharts are still better in comparison to technically superior tools. The latter have to be hung on walls and to be connected to power plugs whereas former have to be made stand on tripod or castor based stands. The ones that come with castors are, as a matter of fact, easier to shift from one room to another.

All in all, it can be concluded that you can still opt for a flip chart in lieu of projector screens or other audio visual tools. The time for the time-honoured easels is still 'in'.
